20 Years Later
I know I've written about The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill before, but 2018 marks the the 20th anniversary of the album and Ike Sriskandarajah and his colleagues at the NYT did something really special. They found a handful of the kids who were part of the iconic interludes on the album. What a dope idea. Take a listen as the reflect on the experience, the conversations and how their ideas of love have changed since
'Tis the season for roasted vegetables. (My most favorite way to enjoy my favorite vegetable, red pepper.) Here's a comprehensive guide for roasting any vegetable
Art I Like
My dear friend Jack Winthrop is making some really dope art these days. From graffiti pieces to custom jackets to contemporary abstract, he's putting in work.  Peep his IG for his recent work and keep him on your radar.

What is a skeleton's favorite musical instrument? A Trombone.
Certainly the colors of autumn leaves are beautiful. But have you ever wondered why they change? I know I learned about it somewhere back in elementary school, but needed a refresher. Turns out, as the days get shorter and colder, it's harder for chlorophyll in the leaves to make food. And that's what keeps them green. So instead of making food, they rely on the their stored energy causing the shift in colors. Learn more about the natural phenomenon here
Another Song I Like

Valee strikes again on his latest single "Awesome." The Chicago rapper teamed up with Philly pre-teen Matt Ox for the new cut. The beat bangs as does Valee's verse.
From a Friend
Into astrology? Then check out the app The Pattern. My friend Marge put me on. It offers a totally comprehensive read on your life, so be prepared (also be rational and discerning). My favorite part is the 'timing' section that looks at "temporary patterns that affect different parts of your life for weeks or months at a time." Definitely a unique aspect of the app.
One Last Thing
We're two weeks away from Election Day. I'm here to remind you (again) that voting matters. Your vote matters. Still unsure of what's going on? That's okay. VoteSaveAmerica's got you covered. Check out their voter guide (you'll type in your address to see the candidates who'll be on your ballot) and put together a plan.
